BeCOME

(1/19/26)

Begin With Silence

Take 30 seconds to just pause. Be still. Ask God to open your heart to hear His voice.

Psalm 46:10 (ESV) “Be still, and know that I am God...

1. Wow!

Spend time praising God for who He is... His power, love, creation, and character!

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV84) ... if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creattion...

  • You are always at work in us.
  • You don't leave us where You find us.
  • You shape hearts patiently.
  • Transformation is Your promise.
  • Becoming looks like You.

2. I'm Sorry!

Be honest with God about your sins and shortcomings. Ask for forgiveness and strength to live a life that honors Him.

Romans 12:2 (NLT) Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think...

  • Forgive our resistance to change.
  • Forgive our comfort with old patterns.
  • Forgive our impatience with growth.
  • Renew our thinking.
  • Shape our character.

3. Thank You!

Think about specific things that you are grateful for, big and small. This could include family, friends, your health, or even the air that you breathe.

Philippians 1:6 (ESV) ... he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion...

  • Thank You for not giving up on us.
  • Thank You for growth over time.
  • Thank You for grace in the process.
  • Thank You for small steps forward.
  • Thank You that You're not finished... that You are still shaping us.

4. Save Them!

Continually entrust the needs of others, and especially their need of salvation, to God. Wait with faith, not frustration, knowing He’s at work even when you can’t see it.

2 Peter 3:18 (NASB95) but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...

  • Help new believers grow strong.
  • Restore those who have stalled in their faith.
  • Heal people who are stuck in their shame.
  • Raise up disciples who reflect Jesus.
  • Transform lives through Your Spirit.

5. Deliver Me!

Entrust your needs and pain to God. Ask Him to meet you in your weakness, and remind you that He is enough.

Psalm 51:10 (GW) Create a clean heart in me, O God ...

  • Deliver us from old habits.
  • Free us from discouragement in our growth.
  • Shape us into Christlikeness.
  • Help us take our next step.
  • Let us become who You created us to be.

Close With Silence

Use the final minute to be quiet, to listen and reflect on your prayer time and what God may be communicating to you. Then close with...

The Lord’s Prayer

(Pray the words that Jesus taught us to pray)

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name;

your kingdom come;

your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Amen.
