Thanksgiving

(11/24/25)

Begin With Silence

Take 30 seconds to just pause. Be still. Ask God to open your heart to hear His voice.

Psalm 46:10 (ESV) “Be still, and know that I am God. ..

1. Wow!

Spend time praising God for who He is... His power, love, creation, and character!

Psalm 107:1 (NJB) Alleluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, his faithful love lasts for ever.

  • You are generous, kind, and faithful.
  • Everything good in my life traces back to You.
  • Your blessings are beyond
  • You are worthy of all gratitude.

2. I'm Sorry!

Be honest with God about your sins and shortcomings. Ask for forgiveness and strength to live a life that honors Him.

Psalm 103:2 (GW) Praise the Lord, my soul,  and never forget all the good he has done:

  • Forgive me for taking Your gifts for granted.
  • Forgive my complaining spirit and my wandering heart.
  • Forgive me for focusing on what I lack instead of your abundance.
  • Help me remember Your goodness daily.

3. Thank You!

Think about specific things that you are grateful for, big and small. This could include family, friends, your health, or even the air that you breathe.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV84) Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

  • Thank You for breath, strength, and life today.
  • Thank You for family, friends, and those who walk with me.
  • Thank You for every answered prayer - and every unseen protection.
  • Thank You for providing more than I deserve.
  • Thank You for salvation, hope, and the promise of Your presence.

4. Save Them!

Continually entrust the needs of others, and especially their need of salvation, to God. Wait with faith, not frustration, knowing He’s at work even when you can’t see it.

Psalm 147:3 (CSB) He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.

  • Draw near to those who face Thanksgiving with grief.
  • Provide for those who are without home, family, or food.
  • Restore joy to the discouraged and lonely.
  • Save those who don't yet know the Giver of every good gift.

5. Deliver Me!

Entrust your needs and pain to God. Ask Him to meet you in your weakness, and remind you that He is enough.

Psalm 23:1 (NLT) The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.

  • Deliver me from ingratitude and entitlement.
  • Deliver me from fear about the future.
  • Make contentment my daily companion.
  • Help me walk in gratitude, generosity, and trust this season.

Close With Silence

Use the final minute to be quiet, to listen and reflect on your prayer time and what God may be communicating to you. Then close with...

The Lord’s Prayer

(Pray the words that Jesus taught us to pray)

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name;

your kingdom come;

your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Amen.
