Build

(1/26/26)

Begin With Silence

Take 30 seconds to just pause. Be still. Ask God to open your heart to hear His voice.

Psalm 46:10 (ESV) “Be still, and know that I am God...

1. Wow!

Spend time praising God for who He is... His power, love, creation, and character!

Psalms 127:1 (NIV84) Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain...

  • You invite us into Your work.
  • Every act of service matters.
  • You use ordinary people.
  • Building Your church is a privilege.

2. I'm Sorry!

Be honest with God about your sins and shortcomings. Ask for forgiveness and strength to live a life that honors Him.

1 Peter 4:10 (NLT) God has given each of you a gift... Use them well to serve one another.

  • Forgive us for spectating instead of serving.
  • Forgive our fear of commitment.
  • Forgive our reluctance to invest.
  • Forgive our comfort-first mindset.
  • Align our hearts with Your mission.

3. Thank You!

Think about specific things that you are grateful for, big and small. This could include family, friends, your health, or even the air that you breathe.

Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works...

  • Thank You for gifting us uniquely.
  • Thank You for opportunities to serve.
  • Thank You for a church worth building.
  • Thank You for letting us participate.

4. Save Them!

Continually entrust the needs of others, and especially their need of salvation, to God. Wait with faith, not frustration, knowing He’s at work even when you can’t see it.

Matthew 28:19 (NASB95) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations...

  • Use our church to reach the lost.
  • Empower every servant and leader.
  • Provide what is needed for Your mission.
  • Let our work point people to Jesus.
  • Allow us to build tables so that others can find a home.

5. Deliver Me!

Entrust your needs and pain to God. Ask Him to meet you in your weakness, and remind you that He is enough.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (GW) ... Always excel in the work you do for the Lord. You know that the hard work you do for the Lord is not pointless.

  • Deliver us from half-hearted commitment.
  • Free us from the fear of sacrifice.
  • Help us invest joyfully.
  • Teach us to build for eternity.
  • Use our lives to build what lasts.

Close With Silence

Use the final minute to be quiet, to listen and reflect on your prayer time and what God may be communicating to you. Then close with...

The Lord’s Prayer

(Pray the words that Jesus taught us to pray)

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name;

your kingdom come;

your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Amen.
